In the past 20 years we have worked with different software applications for yacht management. Most applications are set up by IT specialist and have great features but miss the connection with the vessel or crew needs. In 2016 we started working with Marlinspike. Marlinspike is developed by users for users.
As a result, Marlinspike is a straightforward and user-friendly program. The different modules are tailored to the needs of the crew members. It works with them and contains all the required information and paperwork. This saves all crew members, in different ranks throughout the vessel, a significant amount of time.
Marlinspike is a web-based software which means it is accessible on any operating system without installing additional software. A small local web server is installed and connected to the vessel’s network to ensure the software will run smoothly without a regular internet connection.
All crew members receive a personal login with user rights management based on ranks.
The system can synchronize daily with an online interface, enabling shore personnel to access required data.
