After two weeks of sea-trials with our captain and engineer, the beautiful motor yacht Blue Jeans, a Wim Van der Valk raised pilot house of 33 meters was ready for her maiden voyage.
High performance yacht on the move
Before departing for her maiden voyage, MY Blue Jeans needed to be outfitted for a 10 days cruise along the English and French coastlines. From spares for the engineroom to bed linnen, cutlery glasses and plates to vacuum cleaners, dishwasser tablets and whatever you can think of. With an eye on the weather charts it was clear that an adjusted program was needed. The depressions building up on the Atlantic Ocean would cause a lot of wind and waves. Not a problem for the yacht, but it would be nice if everyone would enjoy it as much as possible. Therefore the sailing plan brought the yacht from Stellendam in the Netherlands, via Oostende, Boulogne sur mer, Cherboiurg, Caen and Eastbourne to London. From London the crew sailed the yacht back to the shipyard in Waalwijk.
